Who is Miele MOVE Connect for?

Miele MOVE Connect is suitable for all organisations and companies that want to digitise their machine data and identify optimisation potential.

Who is Miele MOVE MedDent+ for?

Miele MOVE MedDent+ is the ideal complement to the Miele MOVE Connect machine management tool. The customised solution for medical and dental practices supports you in the professional reprocessing of sterile items and the corresponding documentation.

Is there a Miele MOVE Connect mobile app?

There is currently no native app for iOS or Android. However, you can easily use Miele MOVE via a browser on your smartphone or tablet.

How do I register?

You start the registration process by clicking on the "REGISTER" button on the Miele MOVE website. Then first, create your personal user account. Afterwards, you can register your company or join an existing one in Miele MOVE.

Another possibility is the invitation by an admin to an existing company. Via the link in the invitation e-mail you can create a user account and will be automatically assigned to the existing company.

Do I have to create a new company when registering in order to use Miele MOVE Connect?

No, you can also join an existing company during the registration.

In general, however, it is only possible to use all Miele MOVE Connect features (as well as furhter optional add ons like MedDent+) if your user account belongs to a company.

How many users can I add to my company in Miele MOVE Connect or optional add-ons?

In the free version of Miele MOVE Connect, any number of users can use the digital solution. Optional add-ons such as MedDent+ are available to a limited number of users. This is communicated in the respective add-on packages.

How can I change language settings in Miele MOVE Connect or optional add-ons?

You can change the language during the registration and at any time in your user profile. In addition to the language in the portal, the language of all notifications and mails from Miele MOVE Connect is also adapted.

What specifications does my PC/smartphone/tablet need so that I can use Miele MOVE Connect or optional add-ons?

Since Miele MOVE Connect is a digital web application, an active internet connection is required and in addition, you will need the latest browser version (Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Safari).

In which countries can I use Miele MOVE Connect or optional add-ons?

Currently, registration for Miele MOVE Connect is reserved exclusively for companies in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Does Miele MOVE Connect (and add-ons) work with a cloud?

Through compatible Miele Professional machines technical data (machine status data, status data, error data, etc.) will be generated depending on usage and operation. This data is transferred from the compatible machines to Miele via the Miele Cloud. Miele stores this data and provides them to you in an aggregated form via the Miele MOVE Connect (and add-ons) online portal. For further details, please see the Miele MOVE Connect privacy policy.

Features

Can I import data from other sources?

It is not yet possible to import data from external sources into Miele MOVE Connect (or add-ons). An implementation is being considered for the future. Therefore, we would be happy if you could let our customer service know your wishes and ideas in this regard.

Can I use Miele MOVE Connect to make settings on my machines remotely?

Currently, Miele MOVE Connect offers full access to your machine data, allowing you to better control errors and optimize processes. It is not yet possible to set settings on the machine remotely via Miele MOVE Connect.

What functions does Miele MOVE Connect (and optional add-ons) offer?

Which user roles exist?

User

As a user of a company, you can view the status of all connected machines, access data and history. You can get notifications, use the dashboard and contact customer support.

Engineer

As an engineer of a company, you can access all features a user can access. Additionally, you can manage machines: You are able to connect new machines, rename, configure and delete them. Engineers do not have the option to manage the company’s account or users.

Admin

As an administrator of a company, you can access all features a user and engineer can access. Similar to an engineer you can manage machines: You are able to connect new machines, rename, configure and delete them. Additionally, you have the rights to manage your company’s account and users: You can edit company data, upgrade or downgrade your current subscription plan and invite users, delete users or change roles.

Data Privacy

How long does Miele MOVE Connect (and optional add-ons) store my data after I have deleted my account?

Your data will only be stored for as long as it is required to fulfill its respective purpose or if data processing is permitted on the basis of another legal basis. Upon termination of your entire contractual relationship with Miele, your admin and user accounts will be blocked or deleted. For further details, please see the Miele MOVE Connect privacy policy.

Subscription & Payment

Is the free version Miele MOVE Connect limited in time?

No, Miele MOVE Connect is available to you with all communicated functions for an unlimited period of time and free of charge.

How much does add-ons to Miele MOVE Connect cost?

The costs for add-ons depend on the type and scope of the optional packages. An overview of the currently available add-ons can be found here

How many machines/devices can I connect with Miele MOVE Connect and its add-ons?

You can connect any quantity of machines/devices in all packages, there are no limits.

I would like to take out a trial subscription/test a demo. What can I do?

What happens to my collected machine data if I cancel my subscription?

When your subscription for an optional add-on expires, your company account is downgraded to the free version (Miele MOVE Connect). Accordingly, your data will be retained, but the scope of functions will be limited. Your data will only be stored for as long as it is required to fulfil the respective purpose, unless data processing is permitted on another legal basis. Upon termination of your entire contractual relationship with Miele, your admin and user accounts will be blocked / deleted. For further details, please see the Miele MOVE Connect privacy policy.

How long is the duration of a subscription and what are the cancellation periods?

The contractual relationship between you and Miele is entered into for an indefinite period of time and may be terminated by either party at any time by giving thirty (30) days' notice. For further details, please see the Miele MOVE General Terms and Conditions.

I already have an account. How can I upgrade my subscription?

How do I cancel my current subscription?

Which machines are compatible with Miele MOVE Connect (and add-ons)?

How do I connect a machine?

To add a new machine to Miele MOVE Connect, ensure an adequate Internet connection at the machine's location. Depending on the machine type, LAN and/or WiFi are available as connectivity options.

Miele recommends a LAN connection as this connection type is simpler to set up and more stable.

Important notes on WiFi connection!

WiFi compatibility: 2.4 GHz frequency

A 2.4 GHz frequency band is required in order to connect Miele machines to the Internet via a WiFi connection. This is currently a common standard. It is not possible to use a 5 GHz network.
Most routers are able to activate both a 5 GHz and a 2.4 GHz frequency band simultaneously. These are referred to as dual-band routers. Check the product documentation and the router settings to find out which frequency band your router uses. Changes to the frequency band setting requires reconnecting all other machines linked to the network via WiFi.

During the connection process, your computer (preferably a laptop running under Windows) must be connected to the same network to which your machine is to be connected. The distance between the machine and the computer should not exceed 10 m during the pairing process!

To start the connection process, you first require the machine number or serial number of your machine. This can be found either on the door or close to the door opening.
Enter this number in the appropriate field and click on 'Next':

A check is next performed to ascertain whether a machine with the serial number entered exists in your local network.
If your machine was not connected to your local network during initial setup, you will see the following dialogue:

Here, there is a choice between step-by-step guided connection and an advanced setup. Particularly when making the first connections, we recommend using the prompted process. This uses images to guide the user through the process.
